Fairway Woods Help

J_bone's giving some good advice. A lot of times, as the club gets longer, we want to swing harder because we want to start seeing the ball go further. What happens when most people swing too hard is that the upper body uncoils too quickly, the club is cast, and the spine angle is lost. Work on swinging 60-70%, keeping your head level, and maintaining your spine angle and you'll start thinking it's an easy club to hit.

Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one who can't hit fairway woods. I've just never been able to hit mine at all. It bothers me when people suggest that I should hit 3w instead of 3i. I am so much more comfortable playing long irons than fw. I don't even carry fairway woods any more. Driver to hybrid.
