ok...not looking for opinions on which iron will suit ME..but what YOU thought of the following irons, after gaming them
just like a mini review of the one(s) you played
I currently have MP-57's, but sold them....didn't like how much offset they had - just couldnt get used to it
looking for a players iron or blade style, with minimal offset in them

Titleist 695.MB Forged
Titleist ZB Forged
Nike VR TW Blades
Nike Pro Forged Combos

I have only used the Pro Forged combos and LOVED them.....kinda leaning towards them, but they are getting dated
Also like the idea of a blended set, like the ZB's or the PFC's

I want a forged iron for sure, as i DID like this in the Mizzy's...just not the offset in them
also something i just didnt like about the Mizunos....cant say what.......anyways....

thx for your help

Played all the clubs.
Vr tw blades are by far the softer of the clubs and promoted a much better flat boring ball flight for me.

I currently have the ZB forged and will not get rid of them until the are worn out. Love the blended set. It is a seamless transition from club to club. It has been two years since I got them, but I tested them against every players iron I could get my hands on. Originally, they were not even on my short list of what I wanted to get. After hitting them a few times, they moved to the top of the list without much competition.

I will judge my rounds much more by the quality of my best shots than the acceptability of my worse ones.

Update:

Hit the following today:

Titleist 710.CB
Adams Pro Black.MB
Titleist ZB Forged
Nike TW Blades

hated the adams....I think a good part of it was the shaft though, they had KBS's in them
Titleist ZB Forged....was carrying almost 12-15 yds shorter w them, relativley compared
Nike TW Blades...were awesome, not too small at all (as some pinted out), great buttery forged feel and longest of the 4
Titleist 710.CB's...wicked consistent w these and just as long as the TW Blades, soft as he*l - BUT NO WAY can I afford the sticker price @ $1049! whoa dude!

glad i hit these again today

I have a faster clubhead speed than i thought, after sitting all winter too....88-91mph w a 7i....? is this good?
machine said i carried the ball on average 188....but a 7i for me (last year) was pretty consistent at 170-175

decisions, decisions.......

I'm a little surprised you didn't like the MP 57's, they don't have much offset at all. Anyway, I would go with the Nike Pro Combo. Don't shy away just because they are old.

if you compare the offset in them, to the above mentioned clubs...it a tonne different

I noticed them right away too, when side by side to me Nike's got rid of them today and now looking seriously, now that I have cash (which is burning a serious hole in my pocket :) ) always liked Nike clubs..... PFC's or TW Blades now??? hmmm....

Update:

Tiger has a swing speed in the high 80's with a 8 iron.

I'd say he'd be low 90's with a 7 iron. You sure that monitor thingy was right because he hits the ball pretty hard.

I played the Forged Pro Combos for about 6 months. The biggest issue for me was the size of the soles. They did have a bigger sweet spot than the TW Blades (obviously), but I liked the blades 1000 times better. The MP's are also a top favorite of mine. When it comes down to it, ask yourself these questions: which club gives you the most pleasure and which club do you have the hardest time putting down?

Good luck!

I play the older Forged Blades. My dad plays the new TW blades so I've snagged them for a couple rounds.

I know I am adding a set that isn't on the list but have you tried AP2s, they aren't blades but they definitely aren't shovels. I tried the 710 MBs and the 710 CBs and though they are a little softer I really didn't feel that much of a difference and the AP2s are a lot more forgiving on an off center hit.

EDIT: I bought the Nike CCi Forged's...like 2 mins ago.

I was going to buy these last year when i bought the PFC
nothing but good reviews about them and from guys coming off the PFC's, liking these MORE

when i went to the Royal Precision site, these were the shafts reccomended too
i watched 3 sets of great clubs pass me by, so I had to jump on these - price is good too if i dont like em, as they still sell for around this used

thanks for everyones help!!
will report back after i hit them (when the damn snow is gone!! haha!)

Nice! The CCi's are a great club too. I actually liked them better than the pro combo's. I look forward to hearing the verdict on the new sticks.

i was just reading through the first page and was going to recommend the CCi forged. they often get overlooked in the nike line up, but are awesome clubs. i was previously playing the forged pro combos, and was planning on getting the vr blades, but after hitting the ccis i was sold. they are just as soft, very easy on the eyes, have excellent control, and a bit more forgiving. my ability to work the ball has improved dramatically since ditching the pro combos.

i thought i got an awesome deal, but you win. i got a lightly used set 3-PW plus a cleveland cg12 gap wedge with stiff tt dynamic gold and golf pride new decade multi compound cord for 185 bucks shipped.
