Adams idea pro / pro gold

What is the difference between these two models? It seems most pro's use the pro version rather than the pro gold. Im considering changing my '09 rescue for one of these or maybe the 909h. Opinions appreciated.

Although I'll admit it took a while for me to really be able to use the 909h properly and consistently, I love this club now. I can hit it high, low, left, right pretty consistently on command. I own the 19*. I really like using it for the low penetrating ball flight in the wind. It's not the most forgiving hybrid out there, but it's definitely versatile. I'm looking to purchase a 24* to remove my 4i from the bag. I'm just not consistent enough with that club.

Pro Gold is a great hybrid. I can't compare it with anything else, though. It's the only hybrid I own, or have ever owned. I like it a lot.

The Idea Pro is the best hybrid I've ever owned. I tried it out against the A7, A3, Snake Eyes quick strike, Burner hybrid, G10, as well as many others. It feels great, hits the ball high and long and straight. Good from the fairway on reachable par 5s and off the tee on narrow par 4s. Not much more I could ask. And I got it for $100 brand new.

I've hit the Pro Gold, but don't have nearly as much on-course experience as I do with the regular Pro. But I do think it's good too. Never hit the 909h.

I have hot both the Idea Pro Tour and the Pro Gold and went with the IPT as I feel it is a little bit more of a player's hybrid. The IPT makes it easier for me to move the ball than the PG did. Plus, I also like the more square head on the IPT more than the rounded head of the PG. I am very happy with my purchase but know the PG is a great club as well. Good luck.

Yeah my Idea Pro is the one that says "Tour Prototype" on it. I don't know if there are older versions that don't say "Tour Prototype"?

I play the Pro Black which I think feels much better off the face than the 909H. The 909 to me felt and sounded like an aluminum bat whereas the Pro Black gives you that nice solid feel / sound. Definitely not a club for those that have a hard time getting the ball up in the air and if you miss it, you'll know it instantly. The Pro Black has a very small "sweet spot" whereas the 909H is hot all over the face. Really depends on your game though... I like the Pro Black because it sets up much more like an iron would than the 909H.
