Took a 6 month hiatus from golf from early fall to late spring. Played three rounds of golf without practicing at all and was hitting my driver with a draw and where I wanted to. Irons were being struck flush, much better than how I was striking the ball prior to going on break. Now after couple of visits to the range, hitting a good drive every once in awhile and striking my irons like crap. Got to love how random golf can be. Wish I could empty my swing thoughts.

Yeah, I'm thinking lately that golf is not some mystical journey where you "find your swing", but alot of hard work, patience, and commitment like any other skill in life.

This has certainly been the case for me at the beginning of this season. I think it's a serious case of brain crash from thinking everything to death.

Get a lesson to fix the glitches. Play golf to have fun and not to shoot a good score, and you'll be scoring well again in no time.

I haven't been keeping score yet. Only have played two full rounds and a couple of 9's. Today was even worse than the previous days. Gradually getting worse. I thought I could get by without practicing and playing but looks like I'm going to have to work on the swing after all.

golf is a simple game that is the most challenging thing anyone can try. I guess that why we keep comming back to it. I have the been fortunate to be able to play once a week for at least 24 years and just starting to understand my golf swing and what its doing and more important, how to make changes during a round.

Try one swing thought. Aim the clubface where you want the ball to go. Turn and return.
