A quick question...ive played golf at a par 3 course for about a year and a half,i joined a better club this year and i have to do 3 cards for my HC...ive done two and scored 95 and 96..i have to do a third card with a commitee member of the club and i have to go off the white competition tee's which are harder and longer...im getting a lot better with my irons and the last two rounds i seem to of ironed out my slice with my driver..im hitting my driver about 220yards maximum(on a good strike) and keeping it in play...i really want my HC so i can enter comps and meet new people but i just dont feel ready, how and when should i just go for that final card,,what would you guys do...

Do 3-cards for a HC? What the . . . ?

Your handicap index is in constant flux - play whenever you have time. If you wait to be in some type of zen state to play a handicap round, then how will you play a competition round at somebody else's schedule?

What do you guys in the states have to do to get a HC??

In Canada (RCGA rules) I think you need a minimum of 5 rounds. Eventually it's the lowest 10 differentials of your most recent 20 rounds, hence the constant flux reference.

Where's that? I mean, if somebody from your country was to win a gold medal, what song would be played at the medal ceremony?

I'd do it Tiger! i'm 14 and when i went of Whites for the first time I was scared, but i got used to it! all it is is that it's a bit longer, maybe a club or two more going for the green on a par 4. Just do it and THINK POSITIVE!!!

the results of a round should never weigh on your mind, a round of golf is simply a series of single shots that you must play one at a time. thats how you should look at it.
