Ive noticed lately,my glove wears out on the end of the thumb???

anybody else get this...

the gloves arent cheap,i use the taylormade R9 glove...

is my grip at fault,or the size of the glove maybe???

this glove is about 3 rounds old 2 hours on the range and the end of the thumb has started to wear, not all the way through yet,but for such a new glove this is weird...

grip pressure too tight. I played yesterday without a glove and did not notice a problem, I am going to start playing without a glove from now and save the time to put on and take off my glove and some money also.

You may be squeezing the palm of your right hand too tightly around your thumb, or have too much grip pressure on you're left thumb and index finger. In a standard grip, interlocking or over wrap, the main grasping digits are the middle, ring and pinky fingers of the left hand, and the middle/ring fingers of the right. keep your hands relaxed and loose. 90% of my shanks, tops, and chunks are because of too much tension in my hands.

My very first lesson was all about having lack of tension, and staying loose and relaxed. Of Course we blew up my old swing and started over :) But I kid you not. EVERY time I'm concentrating on my hands loose I hit a good shot. Thats really my main swing thought, that and leading the downswing with the left hand.

- Too much grip pressure
- Poor grip
- Flipping, rolling or twisting the club in some way during the swing
