A week after I wanted to quit golf all together....

Some of you may remember my rant last week about how I had hit the worst 4 rounds ever in a single week, and wanted to take a break from golf.

Well, I didn't take a break, I just stopped playing for score for a little over a week. I spent a lot of time on the range getting my confidence back. Yesterday, I played my 1st round for a score in 10 days. I shot a 42 through 9 holes, and went home happy. That tied my best 9 of all times. Needless to say I was happy.

So today, I went out and played 18 by myself. My goal was to relax and get a good baseline for where I was at in my game, and what I need to work on this coming week, but to play smart, and have a relaxing and good game. And I was rewarded:

Score - 85!!!!!!!! My best full round ever
Fairways - 9
GIR's- 4
Putts - 33
Scramble - 50%, 4 for 8

I was pretty happy with the round, but next week I need to work on my driving. It was kind of all over the place today and even though I hit 9 of 14 fairways, a couple of them were really short, or not in the right position to have good shots into the green. Between that, I'm going to maintain my shortgame from 120 and in, because it was what made the day.
