ball marks on top of clubs

One person I know has taped his club up to stop sky marks occuring

I'd think that the tape would look worse than a sky mark or two. Personally I don't worry about such things anyway. I don't have any sky marks on my driver, and I don't carry any fairway woods. My hybrids get used from so many strange places that sky marks are the least of my worries with them.

My driver is 4 months old and looks like ass! Ball marks all over the top, paint chips off the side and paint is wearing off of the bottom from grounding it during the swing. Guess that is what you get on your first driver! That being said, I am hitting it really far, got 190 yards dead straight after the roll last weekend! Guess that is why I am still hitting my hybrids off of the tee 99.985% of the time! I HATE that club so it deserves all the battle scars it can get. My instructor wanted to give it a shot at my lesson a couple weeks ago and pounded 5 in a row off of the net at the range so that made me feel a lot better about my skills.

where the crown overlaps slightly on the face it has almost all come away

I have some on my older Wilson Spine driver, but none yet on my new Nickent...I am sure I will get some though...
