not taking divots

I've taken huge sods of turf out of the ground.

It helps if you hit the ball first.

Can you provide some evidence, or do you mean "the

higher the ball flies"? Once clean contact has been made, of what relevance is divot size?

If taking a divot for you means more solid ball contact then it is probably true. One could argue that the angle of attack is steeper which will change your trajectory and may increase range. But I wouldn't take it as a given.

I've taken huge sods of turf out of the ground.

LOLOLOL...i think we have all been there once or twice!!

I typically get a fairly large divot with my 8/9 and wedges. My 5/6/7 tend to kind of just tear at the roots. 4I and up tend to be sweepers. I do find that when i hitting the ball well i have divots from 5 and down...that whole ball first thing.

Driver- Callaway Razor somthing or other
3W- Taylor Made R11S
3H Rocketballz
4I-PW- MP-59
Gap- Vokey 54

Lob- Cleveland 60

Putter- Rife

Skycaddie SG5
