Courses around Fairfield, CT?

Hello. Next year I am attending Fairfield University in CT and I was wondering if anyone is from that area and if there are any good courses around Fairfield. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

I'm from around there and my wife graduated from Fairfield. Smith Richardson is the local muni and very good. Weekend tee times can be a challenge. There is also a par 3 in town. Fairchild Wheeler is also in Fairfield but owned by neighboring Bridgeport, it is 36 holes, conditions have improved lately, and the Black course is a decent tract. If you don't mind driving there are many good courses with in an hour drive with varying price ranges. Great River is fantastic and not that far but it's $100+ per round. Yale isn't to far away and they started offering some good membership deals this year. http://ctgolfer.com/ will give you info about the area courses and I can answer more specific question you may have.

Smith is a very nice course, it's about 5 miles, so a 10 minute drive.
