Does it matter what brand you chose for golfing gears? I mean besides quality can better brands elevate help in other matters?

Brand makes no difference.

What other matters are you talking about? Getting what works for you is important, but not having club heads fly off at the range is good too. Some brands are widely regarded as garbage, but that might be a tad subjective. Read enough opinions on the internet, and you'll think a good score is unattainable while using a Top Flite XL Tour ball. I might believe it too, except every time I used one last season, it was a fairly decent round - whatever.

Mizuno MP600 driver, Cleveland '09 Launcher 3-wood, Callaway FTiz 18 degree hybrid, Cleveland TA1 3-9, Scratch SS8620 47, 53, 58, Cleveland Classic 2 mid-mallet, Bridgestone B330S, Sun Mountain four5.

Agreed. Start with good quality, however avoid being sucked into the hype surrounding brand x versus y.

I have to say, over the past years of golfing, I've become biased against certain brands and I tend to stick with a select few. For some reason, I tend to dismiss a lot of Taylormade products and Nike products.

I think as far as brand loyalty goes...there are certain brands that in my opinion, have made quality products consistently over the past years. Titleist for example hasn't made a product that I've been dissapointed in. Mizuno, despite the rave about their irons, I've had my likes and dislikes. However, I still think the old T-Zoid Pro II's are some of the best irons to have ever existed. Nothing wrong with having brand loyalty, but don't be like me and dismiss brands without trying them out.

Nike is really good stuff now. The new VR driver with the voodoo is a freaking rocket launcher. At least it is for me. The Method putters put a good roll on the ball. A bit pricey though.
