Got to work this morning to find that my putter was on the fed-ex van for delivery. It turned up about half an hour ago, and all I can say is OMG what an amazing job they did. I got shipping notification yesterday, and the putter arrived to day....in New Zealand. How good is that.

Any of you thinking of sending a putter to the custom shop, all I can say is do it. you'll be amazed. Can't wait for my game tomorrow morning now.

Congratulations. I got my Studio Design yesterday, and my Newport II today. Those guys at the Studio are amazing.

You're not wrong.

I keep going into my "golf room" and having a look at mine. Have a little putting matt thing as well so I have a quick putt every now and then Just ahd my new "old" Teryllium Newport 2 delivered. It's got a kind of Pro Platinum finish on it and looks not too bad. A few bag dings though . Will be a prime candidate for the Custom Shop - just gotta save the $175 first - this one will just be restored, nothing fancy onit - although I might get it finished with PP if they do it.

    • Par is just a guideline, a reference for a hole or a course. At the end of the tournament the player that took less strokes to hole out is the winner, no matter how much it is against the Par of the course.  35 under par is not desirable? then change a few holes par.. make all reachable par 5's as par 4's.  Every hole below 350 is a par 3.. This will make those 7200 courses play "harder" with a par of 66..67.  (Ridiculous, let's just appreciate the amazing game this players have).
    • Didn't Mike Souchak (and possibly others as I'm just going by memory, but I'm pretty sure Souchak was first) shoot a 257 years ago?  It wasn't on a par 73, so it wasn't 35 under, but still.

    • Sounds like you're trying to prune gorse.  Seems as if gorse can actually throw its needles at anyone nearby!
    • BTW - The bush was ugly.  Anyway, in an attempt to add some clarity the ball was under some of the branches of the bush. But the bush was shaped in such a way where a left handed player could have played the shot without hitting any of the branches. A right handed player would have no chance. Thus my buddy/opponent I think was "reasonable" in addressing the ball with a flipped over 7 iron as he could have hit it lefty. .... There was, however, no guarantee that he would get good results as I've actually never seen him try to hit a ball in that manor in all the years I've played with him.
