well after a few years of trying a bunch of players irons, I made the jump to blades today
I wasnt really going to do it, but said the h*ll w it - gotta try em out sometime

I couldnt pass the deal up either, hense why the purchase
I picked up some Tour Issued Cleveland CG1 Black Pearls w Flighted RIFLE 6.0's for $270 shipped to me
bought them from a former Cleveland Staff player (now playing for Adams)
these were built for him, straight from Cleveland and have very little use on them (pics were mint)

they ship tomorow and i cant wait!!!!!
i hit the OTR ones today (6i) and was flushing every shot
my ball striking has improved night and day recently (from my lesson) so it was time!!!!
so anyone looking for a sweet set of Bridgestone J36 CB's, PM me!

call me crazy!! hahha!

When I was a 30 handicap, I enjoyed shaping shots too. Primarily because I had no choice... :)

Nice! I just had a guy fit me using a CG1 tour 7-iron. He bent it 4 degrees upright and put a Project X 7.0 in it. After 20 balls I was contemplating selling my Nike Blades...but I didn't.
I love those Cleveland blades! Have to be top 2 or 3 I've ever hit. Congrats man. Post pics soon!

I've always played blades since I was a kid. I have tried cast, but I feel they "allow" me to get lazy. When practicing, blades don't let you get away with anything. I feel the help me with in the end.

I don't claim to be able to shape shots, cause I can't.........

Currently hitting AP2, but I still have my 49 year old Staffs. I know exactly where the ball stuck the face on every shot.

Those are the sticks that I want the Itomics for.

Now, make sure to spend some valuable time with your new ones. Step one is getting the lofts and lies checked / adjusted. Step 2 is spending enough time at the range that you can leave mechanics there - just see the shot and do it. Being in control of your shot is the number one reason to play those babies - pleasing aesthetics is number 2 or 3. The training wheels are off now - good luck is no longer necessary - it's all up to you.
