To DFB, I really do hope Harper plays OF. He's definitely got the arm to play RF, but I'm not sure if he's fast enough to be a big league CF. LF would just be a waste for his defensive talent IMO, so RF makes the most sense. And plenty of great hitters have played the outfield. I hope the Nats don't let him play C since it'll just number his days. Obviously, catcher is one of the most important positions in all of baseball, and I'm sure he's good enough defensively to be a top guy behind the plate, but I think most of his worth is in his bat. The only other position I could see him playing is 1st, but for some reason I think the Nats would rather have a pure power hitter there than the prototypical 3-hitter that Harper should be. What's your guess, what position does he get called up to the bigs as?

You are right, LF would surely be a waste. I think 1B would be too. He has a great arm and would never be able to use it. CF would be OK, they say he's pretty fast, but if he is going to play OF my guess is that is would likely be RF. As for 3B and SS, I was just throwing out ideas. I doubt they would put a power hitter at SS, but I could see 3B. I'm no Nationals expert, but Zimmerman surely can't have the arm that Harper has, and as a golf glover I'm sure he could make the switch to OF or, more likely, 1B. The Red Sox moved Youkilis from 3B to 1B and now he too is a gold glover.

But, anyway, it's all speculation. We will see what happens in time.

    • Day 430 - 2025-12-04 Slow motion backswings (with chippy shots) with AlmostGolf balls.
    • Day 24 (4 Dec 25) - Spent about an hour working with the new 55° wedge in the backyard.  Kept all shots to under 20yds.  Big focus - not decelerating thru downswing and keeping speed up with abbreviated backswing.  Nothing like hitting a low flighted chip with plenty of check spin and then purpose to float a pitch of similar distance.
    • Day 114 12-4 Put some work in on backswing, moving the hips correctly, then feeling over to lead side. Didn't hit any balls was just focused on keeping flowy and moving better. I'll probably do another session tonight and add in some foam balls.
    • Didn't say anything about your understanding in my post.  Well, if you are not insisting on alignment with logic of the WHS, then no.  Try me/us. What do you want from us then?? You are not making sense. You come here and post in an open forum, question a system that is constructed with logic, without using any of your own and then give us a small window of your personal experience to support your narrative which at first sight does not makes sense.  I mean, if you are a point of swearing then I would suggest you cut your losses and humor a more gullible audience elsewhere. Good heavens.
