I finally did it. My goal for 2010 was to become a single digit HI. Well after I shot a +5 77 today in 103* heat I did it. Dropped from a 10.4 to a 9.5. Im loving this crazy game! Putting was better than usual at 31 and I was only 1 over par on the back 9!!!!

Good job - haven't shot sub-78 round in > 15 years. I want a 77!!!

Thanks, Sean-Miller. I was in the fairway on 18 and I said out loud to the group, "if I birdie I shoot even par on the back". I proceeded to pull my 9 iron to about 4 yards to the left of the green, but pin high. I chipped it to about 14 inches and sunk the par putt for a 37. That tied my best 9 ever. It all came down to putting. Yesterday I shot an 83 on a tough course, but had 35 putts. Today I was 6 shots better with only 31 putts (13 on the back). Plus....I didnt have any double bogeys.

That is AWESOME!! I hope to get out tomorrow, to my quiet little course to work almost exclusively on my <100 yard game focusing on chipping/pitching and putting. My goal is to break 80 in an "official" round, and my putting is a HUGE part of that!

To clarify, my current best is an 83, but that was a practice round. Sort of a one man best ball. My goal is sub-80 with one ball!

Headed out for the 4th day in a row. Ill post up how I shoot! playing Panther Creek in Jax, which is a really tough course. 77.7 149 7526 from the tips. Ill probably play the Golds, which will still be a challenge at 75.1 143, just over 7000 yards.
