Engineering Voodoo - Taylormade Superfast TP

Been hitting my SFTP with Fubuki 73S. Tried it at full length and there was just no way to control it, things are a little better now that I cut it to 45". It's definitely a nice driver, but I haven't found it to be any longer then my 9015d/Saga 70S so far. Hammered one today on our #7 hole and saw the same shot that I'd expect out of my old combo.

Demo'd an RIP last week in an R9 head, thinking bout hooking up the SF with one..... I'll keep you updated.

why does everyone have to compare everythinng to the pros, like "Tiger hit his driver this far, so you can't hit any farther than that" not at all. you can hit the ball 300 yards with a three wood and not be a pro, but the handicap does seem a little high compared to the distance. But I am interested in trying out this driver, and its only 200 bucks new for the driver. great deal, seems like a great club

Can you elaborate on where you are finding this club for $200? I'm seeing it at $299 almost everywhere I look.

Went to a fitting night with this dirver. Best spec's for me were 7.5 X fubki (I think, may have been differentshaft) I still would not rate this driver very high. Feel = horrible, Miss hits seem very masked, it feels liek you still hit in the the middle. Shaft was stupid long.

Still what ever works for you.

As for the guy hitting the 3 wood, 300, post a vid of your swing with a somthing showing your SS, then everyone will believe you. Untill that, I think your lieing also. I agree there are some long hitters out there. I if I catch my 3 wood, super good on a perfect day, I can hit it 300. But thats like one in 20 or 30 shots.

I'll post a video soon but you still will find a reason to say that it's impossible because only a pro or yourself could do it. It wasn't supposed to be a dig me post, only stating how long both the driver and the 3 wood were.

Just because alot of pros can't hit that far doesn't mean no one else can. There are amatuers all over the world that can far outhit pros. I've played with quite a few myself.

I know "internet distances" are different than real distances in some cases, but that doesn't mean whoever claims to hit it long is automatically lying.

On topic: I hit this driver today, I hated it. The shaft is so damn long the balls were coming off ALL OVER the clubface, and perhaps even worse, the feel is so awful I couldn't tell the difference until I looked at the ballflight. I hit my R9 a mile further.

Nah, I didn't try the TP. I could right now though (golf galaxy is a five minute walk) but, I don't want to annoy the employees. I already go in there three times a week and hit all of their shiny clubs in the launch monitor for hours without the intention of buying anything. I'm sure the TP version hits better though.

Regular SF is 46.5"...TP is 46". Liked the feel of the head and the shaft on the TP a LOT more, and I think most people would also. It's just a better club plain and simple

I hit my 3wood about 450 yards a few times in a row the other day...at the municipal airport.

As for the Superfast....too light - no feel for me - but, to each his own.

Amaze you how? Calling someone a liar? I replied to your PM.

My intention wasn't to call attention to myself, only the club itself. Its a nice club, both the 3 wood and the driver. The 3 wood is extemely hook prone but if you have the ability to open the face up and get it back to square at contact it has a very high ball flight.

Just hit the TP version 15 minutes ago, still didn't like it. Guess it's just not for me. I also tried the new titleist 910 which was sickkkkkk.

Hit the Superfast TP against a handful of drivers (910 D3 & D2 included) as well as my own. Came out on top again in distance and accuracy by a fairly significant margin with a higher clubhead speed too.

Loved the look and feel of the 910, but distance was pretty disappointing.
