So ive posted my last three scores online, once of which was a stellar even par 72. I go to get to put in another score i shot on wednesday and discover my handicap is now +1.1 from around a 3

I looked at the revison scores section and the system seems to have dupicated my last three scores 8-10times each!! I was wondering if this is a glitch, or if its a permanent thing that i have to get removed by the club. Has anyone else ever had this happen to them?

I think the club should be able to do something about it.
Unless you want to go around sporting a + handicap until it settles.

As you submit more scores, you will see more of them used in the calculation. Typically, the system needs 5 scores to start to work... I'm surprised that it's even giving you a handicap with only 3. You won't have a full, correct handicap until you have submitted 20 honest scores. Right now it's only using that one low score to figure your handicap.

So you've only added 3 scores, or did you have more on there?

It sounds like he had more than 3 scores and that it just duplicated the last 3 that he has submitted. It sounds like a glitch. I would get someone to go ahead and see if they could fix it. Sporting the +1.1 handicap would be cool, but my friends would be calling me on it.

He said his last 3 scores have been duplicated 8-10 times. He had more than just 3 scores in his GHIN. I dont think you read it right :)

Its a glitch. Your club should be able to fix it.

Good job - if I submit my best two scores 10 times each you'd still be giving me a handfull of strokes!

someone had posted earlier about how to get to scratch, well there's the answer: computer glitch!

i've accidentally had double scores this when i posted in the golf shop, but then forgot i had done so and also posted from home via the web. Your home golf club is the only place that can fix it, you can't do it yourself on GHIN.com.

    • I don't know what to tell you. You can't test wedges with range balls, and you have a LOT more info to gather before you can begin to really even test anything else, either.
    • Day 27 - 2026-01-16 Played 18 with some of the usual "too many voices" going on when I'm working on swing stuff. Fun to get out in great bay area winter weather.
    • I know one recent college grad who's trying the same thing.  This guy was a Division III All-American, went on to play one year at Division I LSU, and is not working hard.  He won the Gulf States Open, a pro event, and made it to the second stage of the Korn Ferry Tour School late in the fall.  And didn't make the cut to get to the final stage.  I won't talk about swing or play stuff, but I believe there are a couple of things that are essential.  Obviously, talent, and drive, or work ethic.   I can't tell you how to do it, but you HAVE to get through it.  Golf is going to be your life, and it takes lots of work. Two more things that are really critical.  You'll need the facility to be able to practice.  My young friend stayed in Baton Rouge, as a past player on the team he can still use the LSU practice facilities.  And money.  Its unlikely you'll be able to work a full-time job and practice the way you will need to.  You'll probably need backing, from a parent, from a consortium of friends or club members., something to support you. Good luck, its not an easy path, but anything is possible.  Another young man from our area, Mike Brennan, just won for the first time on the "big" PGA Tour.
    • No one in the world is as smart as Phil thinks he is.
    • Get more comfortable with being uncomfortable. If you don’t like practicing then give up now. You don’t have the passion to become a pro. Unless that mentality changes you won’t do well under stressful situations.    Call the PGA Tour and ask. They probably have resources available.
