I got to thinking today, out of the biggest golf companies out there. ping is among the few that dont currently make balls. (along with cobra, maybe cleveland being counted as biggest too.) So does anyone out there think ping will ever make a ball, or just keep going how they are?

Ping used to make I guess in the 90's or 80's, the ping-eye as pictured by sean miller and some of their two-toned ones are collectibles today (Mine is ppink/white). Cobra, until recently was a member of the Aushnet family, which is the parent company for Titleist so that's why you wont find Cobra balls out there. They are now on their own, not sure of the relationship, but now partnered with Puma for the clothing line. AS for Cleavland, they are the parent company for Srixon balls. So really 2 of the 3 have balls in the market....
It's the indian, not the arrow! But it sure is nice to have good arrows!!!!!

I thought Srixon balls were "Cleveland" balls. Same parent company?

Ping is making a lot of moves esp with their forged iron coming out soon. I just switched from mp57s to ping s57 and if they ever make a forged iron similar to the s57 it will be a very nice players iron. I just don't see them investing in golf balls anytime in the near future I mean they have had the opportunity to buy a brands such as top flight and maxfli. I'm not saying the never will make balls but I would think they might buy a brand and make it their own.

    • Day 87 (27 Jul 25) - Made it an easy session with the wedge this afternoon, worked on staying in the shot and not lifting out - split between low spinners and higher floaters.
    • Shot my new low 72 (par 70) today. Had 5 birdies, also a new best, which included a hole out from the bunker on par 3 6th, and another hole out pitch from 15ish yards on the long par 4, 15th.  Got a couple of other good breaks. Except for an OB drive on 14th (and ensuing double bogey), not much went wrong. All in all I might have used up a year's worth of luck in a single day.
    • Back in the saddle after vacation.  Day 1: played 18. Did not have it, but still battled to an 82. Felt closer to a 90, but that’s fine.
    • Yes, I have seen this from the older crowd that play the 4,700 yard tees and want to know why they get less strokes from there. Always trying to game the system 🤣
    • Day 300 - 2025-07-27 Good 44-ball segment. GSPro was acting goofy, so I just put it on the Quad. Then I hit a bunch of low spinners. Hit 14° down to 9.8° down, with the average closer to 12.3° or so. Focused mostly on the backswing. Right knee good, hands roll up and out a little before laying off (FAR).
