I usually shoot low 80's consistently, i shot fine Saturday but Sunday i shanked every shot and completely blew up. I probably didn't even break 100 My chipping and putting were great but every drive and wood was either a duck hook or a slice, every iron was a bad push or a shanked it off the hosel and it shot straight right. I have been out to the range every day after that and i can not hit a solid shot to save my life, I might give up golf if i cant get out of this. This is soo depressing.

Take all your stuff out of your right pocket, put it in your left. Take a tee, put it behind your left ear. Turn your hat around backwards. Now tie your left shoe in a double bow. Now don't hit a ball for 2 days and come back and tell us how you hit it then.

Happens,

Go back to hitting half wedges, concentrate on making slow precise swing, than build up to full swings. Keep it slow and precise.

Awards, Achievements, and Accolades

You have one bad slump and you wanna give up?

Lazy.

Put some work in and figure out whats wrong. I had a case of the hooks for the last 3 weeks, but have been going to the range every night and figured it out from the help of people on this forum.

Post your swing and let people help you out.

First thing to try, if your hitting it off the hozel, try stepping back a couple inches, that's all I had to do a few months ago when I had it.

I know how ya feel. I had the worst round sunday since i started playing. I did have a new driver and didnt hit it until the range before i teed off. Sad thing is i hit it great at range and then first tee shot sliced into the water. just couldnt bounce back at all, to get my swing right after that. only thing i did good was 100 yds in. But i think you just have to forget that bad round and keep playin and practicin, you cant get better if your already defeated before you start. Wish i could have taken that advice sunday. Good luck gettin your swing back

I had that happen recently. My 6i is normally a really good club for me. But that day starting on the range and continuing through the whole round, if I swung the 6 it went dead right every time. Why it did that, I haven't got the foggiest idea. Next time out was like having my old 6 back, most every shot nice and clean right on target.
