I'm going to schedule my first ever lesson within the next two weeks after I figure out my work travel schedule. I've somewhat narrowed down who I'd like to work with, but have yet to meet with any of them face to face.

Basically I'm on the fence between two camps.

First there is the guy who is ranked by the magazines as the #1 in my state. He, however, does not use any technology. No cameras, no monitors, nothing like that. All old school.

The second camp is the other guys who use more technology, specifically slo mo video, one of those vest deals etc etc.

What do you guys think I should do? I'm leaning towards the more highly touted guy without the cameras but I think I could still benefit from being able to watch and rewatch my swings in good quality.

What say you?

I can't really give you any advice regarding the one you should choose, as that's really your decision. You should keep in mind that even if someone's rated highly, you might not get along with them well at all. You might also be looking more toward being able to see your own swing via the technology as well. I'd say you should weigh the options, and also just try one or the other out to see if they'll be a good fit for you.

I find the video to be very helpful with the guy I work with. But make your own decision.

Id go with the proven one. You can always tape your swing.

Both work, the technology will make you think about a lot of stuff before every swing after you watch the slow mo video and analyze the swing, old school way he should be able to notice something and tell you straight up, give you a drill and there you be.

What say you?

Just pick a guy and go with it. You could do video but what good is one swing over and over and over . . .
