What age did you start golfing

I played less than a handful of times when I was a kid(dad was the parks and rec supervisor so he took me along a few times) and then I didn't really play again until I was 24. I was looking for a release after a nasty relationship ended and a friend just invited me to come along with him and his dad. Ever since then its been golf, golf, golf for me. Played baseball up until I was 18..tried doing competitive softball but the injuries I've had over the years just made it too rough to do for nothing more than bragging rights.

I just started this year, so 31 years old. I really do wish I had started sooner, but golfing wasn't in my family.

It seems like golf is something that has to be passed down to you in order for you to start at a young age. There doesn't seem to be many kids out there that have the perseverance to stick with golf unless it's something their parents already do.

Just started this summer. Took a few lessons and continuing with them, as well as hitting the range whenever I can. Will probably try my luck on a 9-hole this weekend :) I'm 23.

Played for a couple months when I was 15 though.

Started when I was 15, took a long break after 2 years of playing now back at it realizing i have a lot of work to do. I'm 25 now...haha
