Have they changed anything from the X-22 other than colors?

The brushed finish is more than a color change but most people I've read/talked to who have hit both say they feel about the same.

In the blue Colts bag:

Driver - FT-5 10°
Hybrids - 4DX 15.5°, 20°
Irons/Wedges - CI-7 4-GW, SW | "Free" Warrior 60° LWPutter - TiffanyBalls - various

I feel like the X series, at address, are one of the worst-looking things I've ever seen. Ginormous topline. Funhouse mirror offset. I couldn't do them. My dad plays X-18s and they are good for him, but I couldn't do it.

I think the brushed finish is cool, though. I'd like to see them put that finish on one of the X-forged models down the line.

I got my set of X-24's on thursday......4 thru PW + SW with graphite shafts....Got em off ebay from a "buy it now, or make an offer...I offered $69 less than the asking price of $469 and they accepted....the serial number was verified by Callaway. I checked on internet stores, and local stores as well....when I could find the set with graphite shafts, they were priced at $600 to $900. So at $400, I think I got a sweet deal.

Played today...shotgun start on 17....double-bogeyed 17 & 18....was feeling down....then turned and parred 1, then 2, then 3.....all the way thru 9!  I couldn't believe it! I parred all 9 holes for a 35 on the front....then back to the back nine and shot a 48...horrible!

I have shot in the 70's....twice last summer, 75 & 76, but have never had 9 pars in a row!

Total was an 83....the X-24's were not longer than my PowerBilts, as they have the same loft 7 thru SW, and the 4 , 5, & 6 are 1 degree weaker. But I was hoping for better accuracy....boy did I get it!...The 5 thru PW were dead on straight.

I like 'em!

    • Day 36: back to some mirror work tonight. Need a bit more forearm roll in my feels to help with the shallowing.
    • _sigh_ so close to red text.  Went away for three days, but didn't do a practice morning-of-departure (Friday) nor evening-of-return (Sunday), so I had three misses, back to day one. Day 1, May 4 2026.  At home today, spent nearly an hour in my practice room, hitting about three dozen practice balls, primarily with my 6-iron.
    • Day 254 5-4 Arms off chest in backswing and downswing. Short swing, pause and then hit.  Hit foam balls. Keeping arching of wrist a focus as well.
    • I would think of it in terms of time. The time it takes to get the arm angle into a good position to deliver the club with proper shaft lean. Another component is rotation, but that is also a matter of timing. It relates to how the body stalls to give the golfer time to hit the ball. If you have to get 80+ degrees out of that right elbow in one third of a second versus 50 degrees in the same time then you have to steal time from somewhere. It is usually body rotation. That does not help with shaft lean.  I agree in that amateurs tend to make the swing more complicated than pro golfers.
    • I haven't been able to practice like I wanted and won't for the next week.  1. The weather sucks in Ohio this year. I have been mostly inside hitting foam balls. Just kind of my basic stuff.  2. I woke up last Saturday with a left side rib muscle on fire. If I turned or leaned a certain way it would spasm that almost buckled my knees. I have been taking a break to let that settle. I don't want to get a long term injury. I think I pinched a nerve or just aggravated a muscles.   3. I am going on a mini-vacation to Florida (screw you Ohio weather) with a friend, and rolling that into a work conference I have next week. I will be with out my clubs for a week.  I will be back next in two Fridays to hit the ground running with some warmer temps and better weather in Ohio, hopefully. I would really like to get more out on the course and the range.
