I wonder if you think it is possible to tell if I am swing out-to-in by looking at the marks on the sole of my clubs? Is this normal or does it indicate that I have an over the top swing?

I think an actual pic of the sole of a few clubs would be better than that... "drawing" you have. No offense to your artistic ability but yeah.. it looks like somebody 2/3rds of the way done building a snowman in a driveway with a path to the house attached.

All the marks indicate is that the clubface is open with respect to the swing path. Without knowing the ball flight one can't tell anymore than that.
