I have some trouble with sand play with my 56 CG15 .... it has 14 bounce.

It is a great club, but from the sand I have better results with my 10 bounce 52* Gap wedge.

Any thoughts.

do your bunkers have firm or soft sand?

Firm and sometimes even wet sand.

I ordered the 58 in 12 bounce, maybe better to change that to 8 bounce ......

On my wedges its, 10 on my 54* and 8 on my 58*.. I find that perfect for all courses so far, standard bounce usually works everywhere.

You need little bounce with firm sand and alot in the fluffy stuff.

fluffy lies/fluffy sand, high bounce - tightlies/ firm sand, low bounce.

My vokey 56 has 11 degrees of bounce. When I first bought it, I was scared that it had too much bounce. It performs fine, but I don't see why you need more than 11 for anything. And the xjawz wedge? 16? That's a bit extreme, but then again, maybe the grind style is better.

i have a pretty steep swing when chipping so i went for 16* of bounce on my 56* to help with not hitting it so fat and on my 60* wedge i went with 4* of bounce so i can comfortably open it up and go right under the ball. lately i have been improving and can hit either one without worrying about hitting it fat. it gives me choices when in bunkers as well, if its a fluffier lie i go with the 56 and if its more firm i go with the 60.

I just swapped my Cleveland CG14 56* 14 bounce for a Vokey 56* 8 bounce.
The 8 bounce works better for me.
