My wife is my favorite playing partner. We just have a ball out there. We go to the Safeway Classic every year in Portland, and we flew across the country to see the U.S. Women's Open last week. On the way back she said we should go to a men's tournament sometime. I married well.

I've been golfing with my wife a few times. It is hard right now since we have a toddler and it isn't fun with him on the course. I've taught her well. She is horrid but has learned the art of picking up. She takes her whatever, 8 shots then picks up. I really enjoy it when we aren't fighting. Last time we went, not fun. We have some bad history together and apparently her mind went there and my game went bad quick. It was supposed to be a good day. Not so much.

My better half likes the game but understands I like to play without her sometimes and also understand some outings are just for the guys.

I bought her a set of clubs to call her own ...cheap generic ones and she goes the range with me and hacks away... its all in good fun. Im doing a scramble with my parents and her next month just for fun... doubt we will use her shots but she enjoys being out there... its a beautiful game

***Story would be how she thought you could tee up the ball every shot. She hit her drive ... then walked up to the ball and tee is up when it was in the rough...

    • Great year last year. Who winning this year could be another special story? Brooks? Spieth? Or Aberg? An AM? I dont know if anything could top last year
    • I love Rancho Park too!  I don't get out there much due to the 405 issues (Im in Santa Clarita) but I do try and get out there every now and then...last time out was in January where I eagled 17 (left green) with a holed 145 yard third shot ! Rancho is a great course! And at 24 bucks weekday with the city card, an absolute steal!
    • I have played PGA West, at least one or two courses in there, but I am not sure if I've played any of the courses used to host the Hope. I played a course that I think both isn't PGA West and is host to the Hope a few years ago, possibly at a TST outing, but I'm not sure if I'm thinking of the right one. I have played Rancho Park plenty of times (exactly half of my sub-80 rounds were there!) and Wilson/Harding.  Rancho Park might be my favorite golf course among those I've played more than a half dozen times.   Hopefully I'll get a chance to play TPC Scottsdale, maybe this August or September, and at some point I think there was a PGA Tour event in Las Vegas, I should get up there and play those course(s).
