Injuries are a part of the game, but let's leave that to the regular season?

you take your 1st over pick and use it on AP or CJ.. and he breaks a leg, and is gone for the season.. that pretty much means you're done for the season too.. so

Drafting before the pre-season is really just silly. There are enough variables in FF already, adding in preseason variables like "Well he plays for Cinncy so there's an extra pre-season game" or "this guy trains hard in preseason and might not make it on his small frame the whole season" is just too much. After you see "[Player] made it through training camp and is looking great and feeling good for the opener" might make you more willing to take a flyer on him, or him having many minor injuries throughout will help you stay away. Professional franchises don't pick their teams until after training camp, so in FANTASY football, why should you?

Sure, they don't pick the last of the 53 men until after training camp. We don't choose those guys in fantasy football. Are you picking a special teams player on your fantasy football team?
