I was going back and forth based on users reviews of the Bridgestone e7 balls and was weary on picking up a box, but did because I had nothing to lose and they were on sale. I played a round of 9 holes this past weekend and shot a 44 (should have been a 42 but I lipped out two three foot par putts. The balls performed better then I thought. Allthough they didnt spin a great deal as much as other balls im used to (Taylormade TP Black), I felt they had a great feel, much more straight due to less spin, predictable in distance ranges. When it came to around the greens, since I knew they didnt spin as much, I used a higher lofted club and let them roll out. Since im not a professional and worried too much about truly controlling my spin as my game is not there yet, I think the balls performed great. Im going to see how they perform the next time out (in hopes I continue not to slice), but if they perform the same, then ill probably switch to these balls permanently moving forward...

Hmmm .... if you like a bit more spin, you'd better bought the e5, which has a nice urethane cover.

In my opnion a near high end ball, at a midlevel price !

I picked up a box of clearance E5s and like 'em a lot so far. When I can no longer find (hasn't happened yet) tour-level urethane balls for $20-$30/dozen then I'll probably go with the Gamer, the HX Bite, and the E5.
