Just stamped my initials on my VR but it's looking bare. I want something else, but I don't know what. And you guys have to help me stamp it.

Does your kit have punctuation? "U!" after your initials would be classy.

So do you just buy the stamps, and hit them where you want them with a hammer?

Make sure the wedges are softer steel, or you might screw it up. Which I have learned the hard way.

i did my Callaway's too (my old ones now)

did my initials in blue and my wife and daughters initials on the other in pink the pink ones were my first one, the blue ones look better as i had a wedge to practice on easy to do, but can also turn into disaster if done wrong heres how mine turned out - i was happy w them

Yes, mine are purposely crooked. I think my next set will be better. My 56 is going to be retired by Jan or Feb.

This is the golf equivalent of jacking up your car and putting 24-inch rims on it...

It's worse than that.

Isn't it ridiculous? Here's the logic: Tour players have a stamp so that the tour vans don't get them mixed up with other players' when they're being adjusted. Hackers do it because it "looks cool", whatever that means. Cameron stamps are crooked because they can't do it straight. If they tried to do it straight, any letters which were just out would make it look even more crappy.

In the race of life, always back self-interest. At least you know it's trying.

My Cali Del Mar has a perfectly straight "Scotty Cameron" stamped on the heel?

I'm talking about the custom stamping where each letter is done individually.

Yeah, I kinda thought you meant that. It is almost impossible to get the letters to line up perfectly. That's why I ended up just leaving them a little crooked.

    • It may not have been block practice, though, is one of the main points here. You may have been serving and from the same place, but you were likely trying to do slightly different things. It seems that would only be blocked practice if you were trying to hit the same exact ball hit to you to the same exact place in the far court. I'm not sure that's as random as if the ball that you're given to hit is at different places, too, but again…
    • I played tennis in college. I thought block practice was great for serves because you were starting the point and  you could easily adjust where you wanted to place the ball based off the same motion. I equate those to tee balls. I despised block practice for groundstrokes once you reached a certain level and your fundamentals were good. To me, hitting a 100 crosscourt backhands in a row was silly because I would never do that in a match. I needed to randomize it by hitting some deep, some angled, all with different speeds and spins. I share that same thought about iron play. Because we seldom hit the same approach shots hole after hole, I prefer to practice irons randomly.
