Ping Anser 2 ...Newbie question

Thanks for the help everyone....I contacted the seller today and passed on the comments and his reply was this is a "custom" putter....and he insists that it is NEW.... so I shared the responses and was called a liar... then I was told that I was trying to rip him off???? Next I was told I had to provide the names and numbers of the "pro" golfers that told me this....so I opened a "case" against the seller... the seller has agreed to return my money and return postage now that I have an open case pending.....I mailed the putter and got a confirmation number...........thanks again everyone...

Ask him to provide the names and numbers of the pro golfers who told him it was a "custom" putter. That oughta shut him up.

Good thing you got it returned. I dreamt about that shaft with the bolt through last night, it was not a pleasant dream. Frankenputter indeed.

sorry this is late, i was just surfing, checking out the ping anser two i bought, on kijiji, after for first time in life leave old anser three bronze on course, anyway,s the person i bought was a ping collector, garage loaded, set,s of club,s i only needed a ping putter, in every way that,s a ping, clubface is exact as mine, and what you call lightning is different, unless looking closer,could it be an after fix to add weight as putter apex on shaft, but mine came with smooth putter grip and black head cover, that was like small sock, that had ping, play your best, i was just goofing off, and stumbled upon this, any info on this, i think that putter is old, really old, i wouldn,t change a thing, i would send a pic to ping first. but i should have taken my own advice and sent to ping, listen, from what i,ve read, what was recommeneded was totally incorrect, would you tell someone who bought an antique chair, to get it redone, without someone with some authority looking into it, from what i,ve seen, if you don,t know, say so, i hope that this perosn didn,t take one piece of advice other to get it checked out first, sorry i,m new, but that,s wrong, without knowing for sure, don,t assume.

also on back of putter, there is small black dot on right hand side upper, i,m trying to research, and i,m sorry but i have the putter that was shown, minus, the shaft thing, the face is exact, shaft is diffreent, making me think it,s older than mine, am still trying to see same one on any search, but this sale,when i bought this puttter was not out of back of van, he did not want that one to go, and you know when a golfer mean,s it about a club, it wasn,t price, 40$ cdn, it was he didn,t want to let it go. like on those reality show,s i felt guilty practically giving him forty and trying to include cover, there is also one when searching for anser3 where i lost first one i see another ping sock, but it was blue, on top, with just ping, so it,s authentic, unless every pro i,ve shown to say,s get that thing out of here, can point out every thing that,s proves it the real mcoy, i,ve never seen anything like it, but to me, compared to mine, i have no doubt, from my seller, that,s this putter is real, but, i think it,s older, that putterface, whose has seen that before, i haven,t, doesn,t mean it,s not been made, just not seen that much, i,m doing my homework, honestly, worst thing i could have done on a saturday in canada in winter, but when i seen this, it gave me hope, one look, in person, and you would agree, too much work to counterfiet a used club, i mean look at back, and the work on face, why, if you want to sell a fake, you make them like what people recognize, not for what they don,t, doesn,t the mere sight of what i,ve read about this club quite clear, it,s unaimous, yes, from the answer,s i seen, none were positive, and this is golf player,s commmenting like this, i don,t think  one of you would after having that putter and price, why,  think about it. if ecomic,s work that way then printing hundred,s instead of one,s or ten,s makes no diffrenece at store.

Ping putters should have a unique serial number too.  That's not like any I have seen.   I was fitted with the same club last winter and it definitely didn't have any screws in the shaft.    If you were to contact Ping, they would confirm that is not a new OEM putter.
