The Crusty Glove

Theres nothing worse than going out to buy a new leather glove, and then after one round it gets really crusty and doesn't have the same feel. Anyone know how to fix this? It's starting to really piss me off.

I keep the clear plastic enveloppe when I buy a glove . Just Fold the glove the same way it was when you bought it ,place it in the clear enveloppe , and keep it in there until your next round. I never had a crusty glove .

I hit it with a little water once I get it on my hand. Then just dry your gloved hand with a towel and its usually good to go. I used to have to run my hockey gloves under the sink before I played because the leather was just too hard.

I discovered a new body odor for the first time smelling one of my old crusty gloves. I didn't know I could produce such a smell.

By the way, The Crusty Glove is a GREAT name for a pub at a golf course.

Yeah it happens, I eat through gloves, probably 1 every 3-4 rounds.

That's one of the reasons I started playing the FJ Weathersoft a long time ago, and haven't gone back to leather since.

I use a 'glove keeper'. It is a plastic frame in the shape of a hand. The glove slips over the fingers and the glove is kept on the frame with the glove's velcro fastener. Something along the line of the attached photo. My gloves stay fresh much longer by keeping their shape. I bought mine at Golfsmith.

My gloves get crusty after about a month and when I try and slip them on and they usually rip. I've ran through quite a few of them.

Hit it with a little water to soften it up before your round.
