I just want to say "Thank You" to everyone that has responded to this post - I had no idea it would get the response it has, I just thought I'd share a little about a fun day on the links.

If you have a youngster that is interested in the game - make the time to take them at least a handful of times thru the season! If you are concerned about the "slow pace of play" - Don't be!! With Dani, I let her hit off the tee box (she averages anywhere from 20 to 50 yards), and maybe after I hit she'll hit a 2nd shot, but then we pick up her ball and when I get on the green, she is allowed to drop her ball about 6 feet from the hole and her score is based on how many putts it takes for her to get it in the hole.
The funniest part is when I ask her on the way back to the cart "How many Strokes Dani?" ... she typically answers "One!" ... apparently she only counts the "one" that put it in the hole.

The folks at my "Home Course", Eagle Links, never charge me for her to play either ... they just like seeing her out there having fun ...

BTW - as far as the jeans go ... it's a small, family-friendly executive course surrounded by corn fields ... jeans are quite appropriate there.

Yeah, we went with the set from Amazon - Golf Girl by Voit for $70. For her they worked out great and she is so proud of them. She informed me last night however that she needs a pink golf glove now ...

Ahh great I am glad she liked them, I remember your thread about a Pink set of clubs.

      I love Rancho Park too!  I don't get out there much due to the 405 issues (Im in Santa Clarita) but I do try and get out there every now and then...last time out was in January where I eagled 17 (left green) with a holed 145 yard third shot ! Rancho is a great course! And at 24 bucks weekday with the city card, an absolute steal!

      I have played PGA West, at least one or two courses in there, but I am not sure if I've played any of the courses used to host the Hope. I played a course that I think both isn't PGA West and is host to the Hope a few years ago, possibly at a TST outing, but I'm not sure if I'm thinking of the right one. I have played Rancho Park plenty of times (exactly half of my sub-80 rounds were there!) and Wilson/Harding.  Rancho Park might be my favorite golf course among those I've played more than a half dozen times.   Hopefully I'll get a chance to play TPC Scottsdale, maybe this August or September, and at some point I think there was a PGA Tour event in Las Vegas, I should get up there and play those course(s).
