I purchased a new driver from eBay last week, and when I arrived today, the box was ina leight condition, but the shaft was broken inside. I contacted the seller, and he told me all he could do is give me a refund after I shipped it back. Is there any recourse I could take with UPS or am I just resigned to pay to ship it back and wait a week for my money?

Your desire to change has to be greater than your desire to stay the same.

Your lucky your getting a refund. Alot of people put in their sales that if you do not spend extra for insurance, they are not held liable. Sucks still.

You might be able to file a claim with UPS, but it'll take a lot longer than a week to get your money. My best bet is that the seller is going to take it back and then go after UPS for the money - been there, done that, it's not a fun process. Best to ask him to pay for expedited shipping back and an immediate replacement.

Agree with prior post, send it back usps for 5 bucks, flat rate or media mail it is one of those. Take your refund and try again.
Good luck on your next club.

If the box didn't appear to be bent or damaged you'd have a tough time filing a claim with UPS and getting it resolved quickly. If the seller is offering you a refund, I'd take it and spend the $5 to ship it back as others have suggested here.
