I'd like to hear your thoughts and experiences both positive and negative on these. They can be had really cheaply right now at $70 new online. I've read mostly good things.

I have a XLS 3 wood and absoutely love it. I hit it the same distance off the tee as my driver, so it saves me when the driver isnt on. I think it is a very nice club, it gives off the perfect sound when you hit, if you dont hear the sound its a bad shot. it isnt a loud noise, but its one you will like to hear. I would recommend this club!

I used a 3 and 5 wood this year and have done well with them. The main thing I liked about these was they look at setup...something about the way the top of the club tapers down from the face gives it a comfortable look at address. These aren't nearly as loud as the driver which has a really loud hollow sound.

I had an xls 3 wood and ended up trading a friend for his titleist 3 wood the other day. I was having serious control problems with mine. Mine had the fit on gold in stiff flex. I would hit about 1 out of 10 toward my target. Slowing the swing didnt help. However he hits it perfectly. Im guessing the shaft just didnt fit my swing. The 3wood i traded him for has a ture temper s300 and i hit it great but its a lot heavier shaft.

Make sure and get one with a shaft that fits your swing.

Great looking club and great sound(much better than the xls driver sound)

    • Day 8 (28 Jun 26) - Worked with face position at address and overall setup - open/neutral/closed - and setting up for resulting shot shapes - using 8i and hard foam balls.  It was abbreviated as the thunder began to rumble. Got in about 20 swings before calling it.
    • Tale of two swings.  Swing 1: Slightly outside takeaway (hands move outside of target line) only to allow trail elbow over collapsing at P4. Doesn't take much to overdo it for the trail elbow collapse to only further exaggerate. That's death. Swing 2: Hands stay slight in at takeaway for a much better trail elbow condition at P4. This is a hard sell from an instinct perspective. More focus on un-weighting and re-weighting of lead foot to unlock a bit more mobility of hips and torso. A major flaw that creeps up often is me swinging flat footed and becoming overly armsy-collapsy as a result. Got reminded of this the hard way during my 2nd round match for club net championship. Was cruising along 2up until I made the turn. Then lost the swing for next five holes. Andy was playing good enough to capitalize. By the time I regained my swing on 16th, it was too late. Even Andy was like "That was a gift". Obviously that stings because have played well enough lately. Should have closed him out of the game comfortably with a few holes to spare. Shoulda woulda coulda. Tough lesson. Damn. P.S. I know the swings look very similar but trust me there is a difference.
