What it like playing your first Competition?

Im gonna start getting involved soon. I either buckle or thrive on pressure shots when people are watching. So playing in a comp will be interesting..

Only advice I have is stay focused on your pre-shot routine and don't get caught up in worrying about results. The only shot under your control is the one in front of you, not the last one nor the one after this one. Sounds easy but in the middle of competition it is sometimes difficult to remember.

pre-shot routine, I second that! I only played in a couple of competitive tournaments but my first one, I remember getting up on the first tee and everything felt odd and unusal for some reason and this is after playing lots of golf everyday, so be prepared to feel a little uncomfortable but its only natural. swing easy on your first tee shot.
