Someone break down this 8 year olds swing. I'm certainly having a hard time finding much wrong with this little guys swing from face on. He sways a little off the ball, but look at that hip slide! Look at that contact! If only if I only my swing was as pretty as his (hell maybe it is since I've never filmed it, but I doubt it!!)

I don't see a problem with him swaying a little bit in the backswing, he stays well inside his back foot. I am impressed with the way his body swings the club in the backswing and not his arms/hands (you can see the slight lag in the club) and he is a one-planer. I think he sways forward too much in the downswing. He gets over the ball instead of staying behind it and has to throw his right hand in order to release the club in time.

Funny, I don't see it that way at all. Clearly he has a bit of a hitter pattern in him, driving his right forearm through the ball, but that's a good thing. Truth be told he could use a bit more extensor action to keep his left arm a tad straighter, but that's really nitpicky for this kid at this point in time.

He doesn't "get over the ball" and he doesn't "sway forward" let alone "too much" in the downswing. This kid's got a great motion.

Yeah, good illustrations. I see your point. I was thrown off by the amount of head movement forward during the downswing but it is not quite a sway and not ultimately too far forward.

Pretty impressive.
Maybe his grip is a tad strong, but it works for Zac Johnson.
Can't see much to complain abut. Plenty to be jealous of, though

In the race of life, always back self-interest. At least you know it's trying.

This S.O.B is 8 years old and takes better divots then I do right now. :)

for someone of his size/strength...I actually imagine he HAS to sway to generate really any power at his size...but very very sweet swing.

It looks like his left arm does a funny move coming toward impact where it's straight, but then puts the brakes on and bends a little in an effort to bring the club around in time, and I'm guessing that's an issue of wrist/hand strength. But wow, I'd trade him my swing for his.

If he continues playing and keeps the love for the game. He'll almost surely go pro with a swing like that at 8yrs old.
