Circumstances led me to being off golf for almost a year. Finally played a tournament two weeks ago, without touching the clubs and having to use my old set which had been passed down to dad. Shot in the 90's with multiple bad holes. Another tournament today and decided to play. Much better round. 3 triples, 7 bogeys and 8 pars. Two of those triples were courtesy of an OB and one was thanks to bad shots. But overall much happier than 2 weeks ago. Even managed to get runner-up in open stableford. If those three triples had all been bogeys would even have been in contention for the open -

I don't generally have a problem of it. It's not the highest pitch, or the softest. He also generally lifts the heel a little off the ground (more vertical from the down-the-line view) too, which removes a little bounce. It's a slightly different type of shot. Kind of in the middle between the low spinner or chip and the higher, softer pitch. -
