Although 2 different bodies, they get together and discuss these things. The Fedex cup has everything to do with it. Money and politics will win out over tradition every time these days.

And how would bumping back the FedEx Cup lose money? Seriously, I don't know, not trying to be condescending or anything. As it is the FedEx Cup is already on during football season, I don't think bumping it back a week would do anything.

Yup, this one will be b-school case study before long.

As a retired engineer (not sports clothing however) I can say that is pretty much the way it can go sometimes. This time folks only got wet, sometimes the results of overruling the technology/production guys leads to more significant endings and disaster for the Company (and sometimes for their customers too).

this it too bad. I like sun mountain and I have had good luck with their raingear, this is going to hurt the company big time.

I read it was Pavin's wife who picked out the clothing for the US team. I don't know what was worse, the rain gear or the purple vests.

I'm not sure I understand - are you saying that Pavin should have tested the rain suit before selecting it? I'm pretty sure when he put out the RFP for rain suits, the assumption was that it would keep out the rain. Should he have worn one in the shower? Isn't Sun Mountain supposed to do the product testing?

Of course he should have had them tested. Monty did. That day 1 debacle cost them the Cup and they new the suits were shit earlier in the week!?!

the US should of got there rain gear from the players sponsors and made the sponsors to leave there logos off. Players should play in what they are use to playing in.
