My boy's 4th birthday is coming up and he asks every day to have his own clubs and bag for his birthday. Been looking around and all I can find in the store is the Maxfli set from Dicks. Size seems dead on, durability who knows.

I checked out US Kids Golf and am annoyed that the clubs are so long for a 4 year old. Putter is like 25" long...that's nuts.

Also a bunch of stuff from this site

http://www.allkids••••••••••••••/kids...-ages-3-5.aspx

Clubs from there seem sized better. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

I had a good little set of Powerbilts for my daughter when she was about that age. It was their orange colored set-up, and as I remember it was a little under $100. Of course, she just turned thirteen, so it's been a while.

I just want to say that as a kid I really hated the US Kids clubs. They were way too whippy. Way to whippy. I much preferred the Nike clubs.

I got my 4 year-old a set of "Intech Lancer Junior Golf Club Set" from TGW. They can be found a lot of places though, even Amazon. They've been a good set of clubs for him and he gets a kick out of the fact that he has a stand bag like dad. I got my 6 year-old the same set in pink. IIRC, I paid around $90 for each set.

I bought my son the maxfli set from Dicks. I havent seen any problems with them yet. He is only 3 and is still trying to get the swing down (lots of duffs in the grass). They are holding up very nicely.

Thanks for the replies all. Since it for his birthday I thought it would be cool for him to go to the store and pick em out rather than wait on the UPS guy. We got him the Maxfli set and they will be fine for the year or so he will use them. He has a pretty nice putting stroke and that little putter fits him perfect.

He actually took them to bed with him tonight. Think we created a monster.

    • Day 23: weird day, and only had a little bit of time. Just did mirror work again, working on where the elbow is in the downswing
    • I flipped over to this tonight and thoroughly enjoyed it. Anyone else watch? I picked it up during the golf relay event, but seeing these pros out having fun in alternative events was refreshing and entertaining. I’m sure it will be on in reruns in the next week or so, so I won’t spoil the outcome. Im curious what others thought of it. I’m recording it’s later airing to see the beginning.
    • Day 443 - 2025-12-17 Made a few swings in testing some things out at another academy. Might pop up on someone else's podcast in a few weeks.
    • Day 37 (17 Dec 25) - nine hole round with my good friend.  We got paired up with a couple of the men’s group regulars as part of their shootout.  Started off with a wonderful quad bogie and then a dbl on three to be six over thru three holes.  Game went 180° over the next five as I shot one under (including a chip in birdie on hole six and four up and down 1 putt pars) for a net finish of five over. What could have been a really tough nine became a solid finish due to staying in the moment and not checking out.  Great day in course management and keeping perspective .
    • Day 127 12-17 Backswing and flow practice. Took advantage of the 60 degeee weather(it was 20 degrees Sunday)
