No Phallic Jokes Please!

I was looking at an instructor's website and one of the training aids mentioned was an "extended wedge". A quick search didn't reveal anything.

What is it, a wedge with a longer shaft? Has anyone tried hitting a PW with a shaft length of a 5 iron?

Sometimes for chipping and such instructors have a wedge with some kind of rod extending out the grip end a few feet. Perhaps that is what extended wedge means. I think the general idea is if you "flip" or do other "bad" things, the extended rod will hit you on the side and provide some physical feedback that you did something wrong.
