What the heck kind of Taylormade R9 Iron is this?

So I need to replace my 5 iron and I came across one that looks like the following:



This is the first time Ive ever seen them with a silver before. It looks knockoff-ish to me. Is it worth getting to replace my 5 iron?

Is that better then the US ones?

It's JDM so that would add about 5 horsepower/yards at the minimum.

It will be virtually the same. Do check the length though, the japanese market is obviously suited to smaller people, as the Japanese are slightly smaller on average. The head will be the same i think, length and lie are worth a look though.

If its from the japanese market its probably forged as well,they gotta have there forged irons

      Tale of two swings.  Swing 1: Slightly outside takeaway (hands move outside of target line) only to allow trail elbow over collapsing at P4. Doesn't take much to overdo it for the trail elbow collapse to only further exaggerate. That's death. Swing 2: Hands stay slight in at takeaway for a much better trail elbow condition at P4. This is a hard sell from an instinct perspective. More focus on un-weighting and re-weighting of lead foot to unlock a bit more mobility of hips and torso. A major flaw that creeps up often is me swinging flat footed and becoming overly armsy-collapsy as a result. Got reminded of this the hard way during my 2nd round match for club net championship. Was cruising along 2up until I made the turn. Then lost the swing for next five holes. Andy was playing good enough to capitalize. By the time I regained my swing on 16th, it was too late. Even Andy was like "That was a gift". Obviously that stings because have played well enough lately. Should have closed him out of the game comfortably with a few holes to spare. Shoulda woulda coulda. Tough lesson. Damn. P.S. I know the swings look very similar but trust me there is a difference.
