The Gamer V2 is the "better" ball... I really like it a lot and at $20/dz its hard to beat (the Golfsmith out here still has boxes with an extra sleeve for the same price). D2s aren't a bad option either though... at $1/ball it may be the one that does beat out the Gamer for value... just make sure if you go with the D2 you get the "Feel" version.

V2 by far...it's the best kept secret...my local shop can't keep them off the shelf...it has been called the poor man's Pro-V1, but I compare it more to the NXT Tour.

I prefer the V2, but either way, since ~ 2008 the Top Flite line has been a really good value (Callaway pumped some more cash and R&D; into the line). I picked a couple dozen Top Flite XL Tours (seriously, that's what they're called) and they won me over by about the 3rd ball. Just a good all around ball (for the money).

Mizuno MP600 driver, Cleveland '09 Launcher 3-wood, Callaway FTiz 18 degree hybrid, Cleveland TA1 3-9, Scratch SS8620 47, 53, 58, Cleveland Classic 2 mid-mallet, Bridgestone B330S, Sun Mountain four5.

Tried the V2 recently and like it. Will probably give it a shot again come spring. Living in WA., when fall/winter comes around I like the D2 Feel a lot. Got 2 15 ball packs for $17 last year and will probably get through this cold season with whats left. Hard to beat for the price and they hold up real well. Also don't worry to much losing a less than $1 ball.

Several good deals out there now. I saw Srixon Z-stars for $29.99 at The Golf Warehouse website the other day. That was a special if you bought two dozen. They had hi-viz yellow and white, Z-star and Z-star X. Awesome deal on a premium ball. They also had Srixon Soft Feels for $14.95/dozen, which would make a great winter ball for guys in cold weather areas. I read that Srixon had similar/same deals at other big golf shops and Dick's Sporting Goods. Nice to see some balls priced reasonably for once.

I am really liking the Gamer V2 ball. It took a little while to get used to the way it feels especially after just getting a new putter as well that already feels soft. I am pretty much adjusted to it coming off the One Tour (testing them out over two weeks) and really like the amount of spin I can generate with the Gamer V2, I actually spun one back 4 feet more and they check really nice around the green on short chip shots.

That's more likely to be attributed to the better strike than the golf balls themselves.

These balls are great, for the way they play and there price pound for pound one of the best balls on the market..If you can find them some stores are selling them with a free sleeve.....

Going to the shop tomorrow before my round and grabbing a dozen of the V2's (for $10 a dozen, how can I not at least give it a shot?)


If I like it...it's going to be my practice round ball for good and probably pick up a few dozen after my round. I'm pretty excited to check it out.

Waiting out the 2 feet of snow that just dropped on the course....
