Okay, okay I know I just created a new thread on the 907D2, but Iv'e got another one for you!!!! the new(er) 909D3. I like the idea of a 440cc clubhead, just because there are times 460 just looks a little too big. Everyone told me that the 907 wasn't too successful partially due to the high spin rate, and that was completely obvious to me, as I would carry a drive 264 and the total distance would be 267 . Anyways I hit the D3 a couple times, and I got a medium trajectory, which I like, and actually got some roll, which I also like. I figured that I must spin the ball alot (hence the 3 yard roll with the 907), and that I 909D3 might provide a little more distance on the ground for me. (comfortable swingspeed= 98-99. 600 yard swingspeed= about 104)
I'm still young (14) and have some growing to do (I HOPE), so I think the low spin driver will suit me well. I currently use 9*iMix FT-9 w/ Graf. ProLaunch Blue 65R, and IMO I would rate it a mid spin mid launch driver.
Does anyone own/have experience with the 909D3?
Reccommend Voodoo over Diamana (would go stiff. i like diamana never hit voodoo)
Thanks for replies. happy holidays.

i found the VooDoo to almost launch too low with the D3 head
and found it boardy as well
hated the made for Diamana....balloon monster!

i have hit the 909 on course w the stock MAtrix shaft and that was beauty
i have a Graphite Designs PM shaft in mine....well i havent hit it yet as still in the mail and there is snow on the ground as well

but i have hit the 909 on course and its a great driver, worthy of dumping the 905T i used to have

there are a lot of great reviwes on it, including here
do a search to find them

i would recomend the 909 over the 907, and on par w the 905 series

I'll give it a good review as well. I bought one 2 years ago when they first came out and still use it now. I've gone through a bunch of drivers (TM Superdeep, FT Tour, 9064LS, Superfast TP) over the last few months and ended back on the 909D3. It's not the hottest head out there now but I just prefer the way it feels to everything else I've had or hit. It gives me the right amount of forgiveness and distance so I'm happy. I just bought one of the new 910's so we'll see how that goes.

I've gone from 907 D2 (9.5) to 909 D3 (8.5) and it was one of the best decision I've made yet. 909 D3 definitely has lower spin rate and you will notice minimum distance loss, especially when you get 20+ mile face wind.

Trying to decide between 910 D3 and R11.  Anyone have any info on which one spins less?  I've heard arguments both ways...

I think the R11 spins less.  The 910D3 isn't far behind though.

The D3 is easily going to be a lower spin. From what I've seen in TM most of their heads give a high spin rate to keep the ball in the air with slower swing speeds, and TM markets mostly on people with slower swing speeds because they constantly focus on distance. The D3 is more of a "players" club with the traditional pear shape and penetrating ballflight. I think the R11 is extremely ugly, a white crown? Come on, I understand the concept with the putters, but the driver is just excess. Ugly ass club, have yet to hit it though, I havent liked any TM driver since the original R7 Quad with the exception of the Superfast TP.
