I may not have the title right but i know what im tryin to ask.

Should you try to create the open face in the backswing, or is it easier/better to open the face at address and focus solely on the swing path?

I believe you want a square face at address with an inside out swing path to hit the push draw. The inside out swing path gives you the "open" face.

Ok thanks. Is that how you do it? I think subconsciously my hands try to stay square to the swing path, as i can produce the straight push no problems.

I believe you set the face slightly open at address. I'd think conscious manipulation of the club face would be really difficult at swing speed. I never think about club positions in the middle of the swing. I know it opens and closes but not something i'm thinking about.

That Erik is right again! Open clubface with a swing path that is more to the right of target. Thanks for the S&T seminar in Phoenix Erik...good stuff!

Erik what advice would you give to someone who swings the clubface square to the swingpath. I noticed I was doing that when I tried to swing to inside out and it resulted in pushes instead of draws

Having seen your swing in evolvr... pushing the hips more forward will allow you to hit more on the back side of the circle.
