Favorite Player's Championship Memory?

Well, this week is the Player's Championship as most of you know. And I know there have been many great memories over the years from this tournament. I only remember watching since 1997, so I won't know as many as some of you all. But I do have my favorites for sure.

I think my favorite year was definitely 1998. Lee Janzen was leading pretty solidly going into the final round I believe, and Justin Leonard came in 5 shots back entering the final day. He made that up and then some and ended up winning! I just thought the final day was great seeing him make so many long putts and come back and shoot a hell of a score on a tough golf course.

And there have been some big names win this one lately. Tiger has won it, along with Davis Love, and then Adam Scott last year.

I was just wondering what some of the best memories of this great tournament were to everyone else here.

Tiger's massive, double-breaking putt is one of my favorites. David Love III's shot to a par-5 from the trees (he made the eagle putt, IIRC). Those are my two.

I'd have to say Freddy knocking his tee shot in the lake on 17, and then knocking his penalty shot in the hole for a 3. (Mulligan hole in one)

the time when i got hit by curtis strange on 16 was pretty cool.
the best is when ian poulter marked his ball, then accidently threw it in the lake. then his trainer had to jump in to find it so he wouldn't get penalized.
my new favorite is tway taking the 12 on 17.

My most favorite memory was when Freddie Couples was 2 back of leader going into the 16th hole. his second shot on the par 5 almost went into the water then kicked opposit direction of where the ball was headed landing just off the fringe. putts to make eagle and the crowd just goes crazy. noise heard all over the golf course. leaders who heard the noise was worried and choked making bogies after hearing the noise.....it was monty and someone else who were the leaders. next hole, the island green for freddie, lands safely about 20 ft away.....makes the putt for birdie....crowd goes just bizerk. end of story. just one of the best finish of all time.
