Batteries for sun mountain e carts

I have a sun mountain power assist v1 golf cart. The batteries last about 60 rounds before they need to be replaced. Recently I replaced them with two 12v 9ah batteries , they lasted for about two rounds and then the cart would only go 17 holes before dying. I contacted sun mountain and was told the batteries are bad. Does any one else have problems with batteries for the ecart?

I've used mine for about a hundred rounds and still have almost half the LEDs left after walking 18.
