Starting lessons

[Outfoxed]

I realized that it was time to go to the local swing guru for some feedback. I've never had a "formal" golf lesson. So this is going to be an interesting new path. This pro is the best instructor in my area, according to my research.

My respect for this guru grew leaps and bounds when he started with a history conversation of my game. This brief chat was followed by a warm-up and then video of my swings. That's right, I said swings (driver, long, med, & short irons) with both behind and opposite the ball. The best part was there was no charge for the day, including sticking around to hit as many range balls as wanted.

Since I was done earlier than expected, I had time to get in a full round. And what a round it was. Not one, single duffed ball. I had a couple mishits, but every ball was picked clean off the floor. So this round was all pars, bogeys and doubles. That's it. Nothing more. Amazing!

Did the pseudo-lesson already make a difference? I doubt it. But I'm open to anything that helps my game improve.
