New HDCP revision puts me back on the + side (+0.6 to be exact)….first time I have been there in years. 2010 key stats below:

Scoring Average - 73.6
Putts - 29.82
Fairways - 8.34 (about 60%)
GIR - 11.62 (about 64%)
Sand Saves - 33%
U&D;'s - 41%
Eagles per round - 0.05
Birdies per round - 3.30
Pars per round - 10.10
Bogies per round - 4.20
DBL or worse - 0.20
Last 10 rounds - 72, 79, 75, 75, 69, 73, 71, 74, 75, 72

I'm very happy with my set-up and feel I have most yardages covered. Going back to blades was the best decision I have made in years…and matched with Rifle 6.5 I believe these clubs are the perfect match. I also put my Nike Dymo back in the bag several weeks ago. It's a little higher lofted and I give up a few yards over my Callaway but I have been hitting a sh*tload of fairways and still putting it out there plenty far enough. I need moocho work form the beach and need to work harder on putts over 30' but overall I'm close.

Match-play tournament started this week and I have my first match this weekend. Not to look too far ahead but my draw sucks. If I get past my first match I'll be playing last years winner and the club champ 3 of the last 4 years (and he happens to be one of my good friends).

O.k. I'm done

Damn... I'm envious. Your birdies per round stat is about the same as my birdies per month stat. Your pars per round stat is about the same as my bogies per round stat. And the fact that you're averaging under 30 putts per round and I've NEVER (I mean EVER) cracked the less than 30 putts barrier amazes me.

I suppose that's why you're a +0.6 and I'm a -17.6 handicap.

Good luck in your match play tournament!

Nice stats.
I think U&D; would be something to work on.
and maybe capitalizing more on those GIR.

Nice job on getting to the other side!
Good luck!

    • I think there's a difference between taking time over the ball and taking time to play a shot, at least IMO. One thing I've noticed in a few guys I play with who take a long time over the ball to pull the trigger, is that their backswing is really fast and I think it makes it harder to have a smooth rhythmic down swing. It's almost like they take so long to swing that when they do they speed to catch up. Doesn't lead to good golf IMO.

    • As long as it's from a reputable seller it should be just fine. Just make sure the picture of the weight looks the right shaped weight for that specific driver head. You can even weigh it yourself when you get it if you want to be extra sure. Personally I don't consider $15 for something that can greatly change your impact and delivery characteristics to be "not cheap" but that's just my opinion. Especially since you know it's bringing it closer to what you were fit into and you're already saving a bunch of money by going the used/prior model year route too.
