Starting a Blog to keep track of mental notes and games played / practice sessions.

So here goes. After my first lesson I did pretty well, had good consistency with my short irons and woods. Pushed my driver a bit and had a lot of really good contact shots with my long irons (just abit of trouble shaping my 4 iron.) Learned some key elements to keep myself on plane and stay there for the most part. Still trying to get used to my new SC Newport Studio Select. I stroke it a LOT better than my 2-ball. But I’m have some trouble getting the feel on long distant putts. But its coming along nicely. I took out my video camera and it’s charging up so I can upload videos of my Driver / Irons for all to see and critique as nesc. The County Amateur is in October and I’m going to try my hardest to shave off as many strokes as possible before then and hopefully be in competition to win it. I feel like I’m getting better daily, and my confidence is growing.

I don’t really have a lot of “nerve misses.” I work in a high pressure job and I’ve golfed around PGA / Nationwide players and never skipped a beat. (then again I’ve never had to sink a put to win a championship or a lot of $$) So we will see. This will be my 6th tournament in October. Hopefully it’ll be my first win too.
