Does anyone have any experience with Nike VR Tour Driver?   Can you give us a comment on this driver....


Whats in my Golf Bag:
Driver: Nike Sumo 5000
5 Wood: Mizuno MP-001
Iron: Mizuno MX-950 5-PW
Wedge: Cobra FP 60 degrePutter: Odyssey 2-BallBall: Yellow balls

One of my golfing buddies has this driver and it is a beast! I've hit it with a Project X 6.0 shaft and a Diamana white board flower band (he can't stop tinkering with his clubs) and I personally like the PX better, and I think that it was the stock shaft, too. It sets up nice and has a great solid sound/feel at impact. If I remember correctly this driver is set just a hair open at address, which I don't particularly care for.

I liked this version over the STR8 Fit model... I hit both at GolfSmith and the Tour model just felt a little better to me. I'd love to hit the new one that came out though.

I have the Str8 fit tour driver and have to say i absolutely love it. lets you know if you miss the sweetspot tho and 'feel' is a bit off but that's more than likely due to the seperate head/shaft combination in the str8 fit setup...overall it hits longer than my callaway iQ that i had and works the ball MUCH better. hope this helps.

I have the VR 420 cc head with the PX 6.0 shaft and this baby will not be leaving my bag anytime soon.

Do you improve consistency and distance with this driver?   What's your previous driver?

Yes, my distances are a little longer now and I feel more comfortable with this driver, hence I tend to be more accurate. My other driver is a 460 cc MacGregor 9* NVG tour driver with a Stultz stiff shaft that I've tipped ~1/4".
