A small group of us are planning a short trip to the area.  We are playing Yarrow and the Medalist.  We are debating whether to play 36 at Grande, or 36 at Stonehedge (18 on the north and 18 on the south).  We have never been to the area, and would appreciate opinions.  From what I can tell, we can't go wrong picking either.

I don't know Grande but I've played Stonehedge N and S many times. Both are terrific courses in very good shape. The south course is fairly traditional, pretty and on rolling terrain. The north course is more open and has 6 par 3, 6 par 4 and 6 par 5 holes. All the holes are interesting and fun.

You will get a very different golf experience on each course which I think is great.

I have played both courses many times. My choice would be the Grande. It is a challenging and fun course. Another course not far from the Grande is Calderone Farms in Grass Lake. Play 18 at Gande and 18 at Calderone Farms.
